The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a pilgrimage to the holy mountain and lake of Kailash Mansarovar in Tibet, China. It is considered a very important pilgrimage by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bonpos. The Yatra usually begins in June and lasts until September.
The Yatra is organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and involves a journey of around 2-3 weeks. The pilgrims travel from India to Nepal, where they are required to obtain necessary permits and visas before proceeding to the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China.
The journey involves trekking through rugged terrain and high altitude passes, and it is considered a physically and spiritually challenging experience. The pilgrims travel by bus and then trek through the mountains to reach Mansarovar Lake and Mount Kailash.
The journey is not only physically challenging but also spiritually rewarding, as pilgrims believe that a journey to Kailash Mansarovar can lead to spiritual enlightenment and liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a very important pilgrimage for people who follow Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bonpo. It is believed that those who undertake the Yatra will be blessed with good fortune, and their sins will be absolved. The Yatra is considered a life-changing experience for many pilgrims, who return with a sense of inner peace and spiritual fulfillment.
Trip Details
Day 01: Lucknow – Nepalganj (165 Kms).
 Meet our Representative at Lucknow Airport & transfer to Nepal Gunj. On arrival at Nepalgunj, check-in at the hotel. Dinner & overnight at Hotel.Â
Day 02: Nepalganj – Simikot – Hilsa
 Early morning flight to Simikot (45 minute)/ shift to helicopter and continue to fly to hilsa/15 minute drive Shera border and then transfer to Taklakot ( 3900).Â
Day 03: Taklakot – Mansarovar Lake (78 Kms).Â
Morning Drive 78 km. to Holy Lake Manasarovar (4500 M) and the rest of day free for spiritual activities such as the abode of god will be a lifetime – achievement. Pooja, Havana worship, meditation, holy bath etc. Overnight stay Lodge at the shore of Lake ManasarovarÂ
Day 04: Mansarovar Lake – Darchen (30 Kms).Â
After breakfast drive an Hour Darchen, the base camp of Holy Mt. Kailash. Rest of day free for acclimatization and preparing for circuit (Parikarma).Â
Day 05: Darchen – Diraphuk (18 Kms)Â
Drive for 10 kms to Tarboche (yam dhwar) and trek up about 04/05 hour Diraphuk (4890m) to reach Parikarma/Cora begins. Overnight stays at the Guest house.
Day 06: Diraphuk – Zhulthulphuk (22 Kms)
 Parikarma Continues, this is the day every pilgrim talks about, the most difficult journey through out the trip, Trek up to Dolma La pass(5600m). We will offer very short prayers at Dolmala and move towards Gaurikunda.Â
Day 07: Zhulthulphuk – Taklakot.Â
After Breakfast, we will trek around 13 km. We will be reaching the point where our jeeps will be waiting to drive us to Darchen, Parikarma ends. After Lunch we will drive to Taklakot via Manasoravar parikarma (circuit).Â
Day 08: Taklakot – NepalganjÂ
As soon as possible, fly by Helicopter to Simikot, connect flight to Nepalgunj and then same day transfer to Lucknow Airport to board the flight for onward journey.Â
Day 09: Nepalganj – LucknowÂ
Morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel & transfer to Lucknow, drop at Lucknow Rly Stn or Airport for onward journey..Tour Terminates here.
